Chef Peter Bova held his first audition for Bistec Brasserie in August at the Taste Test Cafe & Audition Space. He was very well received by the public which landed him a spot in the next round in the Taste Test series at their long term pop up space. Opening in mid October, he will be serving classics from around Europe with his own new twists. Customers can get items like steak frite and moules frite, which can be accompanied by seasonal sides and wine pairings. Bistec will also offer lunch and weekend brunch.
Originally born in Maryland and raised in York, Chef Peter Bova has worked in a variety of kitchens across the country. Most notably, he was the opening Sous Chef at the critically acclaimed Abe Fisher, and most recently the opening Sous Chef at Chais Delachaise, a wine bistro in New Orleans. Bova moved back to the York area in 2016 to be near family and assist with his family’s food truck, Forno Bova.
