Jake Matthew Rivers

52274797_2307171406231360_5004476497226891264_n.jpg

Jake Matthew Rivers is a cellist and singer-songwriter from Glen Rock, PA . Beginning his musical journey at the age of 8 with cello lessons at school, music began to click for Jake in high school. Since then, he has been searching out new sounds and effects with his cello. This has led to the use of the cello as a rhythm instrument, and the percussive, guitar like style of playing found in Jake's songs. Along with this, Jake uses a loop station to record and play back parts, allowing him to create an entire ensemble with just one person.
As a singer, Jake is known for his tenor rock belting, and range. Taking influence from everyone from The Killers, to Ben Sollee, to Claude Debussy, to Jeff Buckley, Jake aims to create music that has both the big choruses of arena rock, and the intimate fan connection of singer-songwriter folk, as well as the complexity of a concert work.

Rascal Revival

53014676_2133455800075448_5616502898750914560_n.jpg

Rascal Revival was originally formed in late 2017 as an acoustic trio featuring acoustic guitar, violin & percussion. Based on the works of singer/songwriter R.J. Conrad, the group was rounded out by violinist Caleb Stelle & percussionist Jay Knaub. In July of 2018 the band released their debut EP “Right On Time” & was lucky enough to add bassist Liam Galiano to the lineup in the process. As fate would have it, on the night of their EP Release Party they added Eric DeAlmeida on saxophone without ever having the opportunity to practice together. Unfortunately, before the new lineup could play another show, their original drummer was forced to leave the band due to a terrific career opportunity. After a few months of searching they found the perfect fit in drummer, Jeff Fuhrman. Not only was he a perfect fit for their sound & style, but he also brought along lead guitarist Jake Joyce, creating an exciting new identity for the band! Rascal Revival has a bit of a new sound that can best be described as often having structurally folk roots with evident elements of jazz, funk and rock & roll!

STORY BEHIND OUR NAME: Rascal Revival was a concept that singer R.J. Conrad came up with that was based on a story of him a & month long trip in the hospital. When he was in the 3rd grade he almost died from a ruptured appendix. During his recovery the only thing he ever wanted to watch on TV was his VHS tapes of the original Little Rascals (“The Gang”) from the 1920’s-1930’s. The only issue was that when he laughed it caused him pain, so there was constantly nurses coming in asking if he was alright & asking if they needed to turn off the TV. Needless to say his answer was almost always “yes I’m alright & no do NOT turn it off” - If you ask him he may also mention that it’s also a bonus for him to talk about the original “Little Rascals” in an effort to revitalize the series & establish their true dominance over the 1990’s remake (maybe tread lightly on that one).

"Melodically comfortable, fun and adventurous."

Suzi’s music is a variety of cultural styles such as Celtic, Asian, Island, jazz and even some tribal beats with traditional folk/pop. Her voice has been called ethereal and enchanting but most importantly, it is distinctly her own, just like her writing and guitar playing. That guitar playing incorporates percussive techniques as well as advanced 2-hand tapping!

Mother Dimension

Mother Dimension is a 3 piece band out of York with band members Luke Winand, and brothers Avrey and Evan Muela. We started out as a weekly jam going to open mics in the York area, with a new and creative name change each week. Realizing how much we enjoyed playing together, we decided on a permanent name, began to practice weekly in the Muela’s barn, and have recently been fortunate enough to be playing out more in the area. While the band dates back about two years, Luke, Avrey, and Evan’s love for music dates back many more. All three have been playing for most of their life and intend to continue their musical journey together, providing classic covers and inspiring originals for all!
