Indian Kitchen

Infusion will pop up for 3 months in our Pop Up Restaurant & Bar space at 105 S. Duke St. in the Royal Square Neighborhood. It will run through September 30.

Hamir Patel takes traditional Indian recipes and meshes them with tastes from around the world. He was our first ever Taste Test audition and came back for a second audition during Restaurant Week 2017 to secure his place as our first ever pop up restaurant chef.

Chef Hamir Patel will be opening his new location in the former “Pastries of France” location at 24 South George Street this fall. Infusion Indian went through two short term pop ups; one when Taste Test was operating out of YorKitchen, and the other when Taste Test moved to their 101 S. Duke St. location. Chef Patel’s cooking received an overwhelming response from the community, so he was chosen by the Taste Test Team to go into a long term pop up at the 105 S. Duke St. restaurant and bar. Since opening there in July, Infusion Indian has continued to gain local support and a loyal following.

“We’re really excited to have our first short term pop up concept make it through the whole Taste Test process from start to finish. The York community loves Hamir and his food and it will be great to see them follow him to his final location.

Our goal at Taste Test is to diversify the downtown dining scene with concepts that are proven before they even open their doors. Adding an Indian restaurant to the mix is just the beginning,” said Allison Witherow, Creative Director.
